Who we are
Synthsight Limited runs Synthsight. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15405603, at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Email hello@synthsight.com.
Synthsight builds expert agents for organisations. We are the controller for your account, our website and enquiries. Your organisation controls the content its team puts into its expert agents. We process that content for your organisation, under the data processing terms in our Terms of Service.
What we collect
- Account. Your work email, your organisation’s Synthspace and your role in it, and when you last used Synthsight.
- Content. Your questions, the files you share, voice transcripts, and everything your expert agents make for you. Content can include information about other people.
- Voice. We send your speech to Google to answer you. If you turn on your camera, we send Google one picture a second. We keep only the text transcript.
- Usage. Monthly counts per member of messages, AI tokens, images, videos, audio files and voice time.
- Security. Sign-in records, IP addresses and browser details in our logs.
- Enquiries. What you send us by email.
- Public pages. Anyone can use our public pages without signing in. We do not keep what visitors say. To limit use, we count messages and calls against a random browser ID and a scrambled form of the IP address.
People you ask about
You can ask an expert agent how a person or group is likely to respond: a customer, a colleague, a competitor or a public figure. Our psychologist agent, Synthia, uses situational profiling. She works mainly from the situation, the role and the culture, and from published research on how people behave. For a named person, she adds only what is publicly available, such as interviews, articles and earnings calls, and what you share with her.
The result is an estimate, not a fact about the person. We do not build or keep profiles of named people outside your chats. A profile stays in your chat, under your organisation’s control, and is deleted with it.
We rely on legitimate interests for this: helping business teams understand the people they work with. You must not use it to make decisions about a person’s job, credit, insurance or access to services, or to infer their health, sexuality, religion or politics. Our Terms of Service say this too.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your content to train AI. We do not use analytics or advertising.
AI and providers
Our expert agents run on Google’s Gemini API, on a paid account. Google does not train its models on what we send. Google may keep limited records to continue a conversation, for up to 55 days, and to detect abuse.
Other models run only when an expert agent uses them, under business terms that exclude training on what we send. Research services find and read public sources for an expert agent. They receive only the search terms and web addresses the agent sends, never your files or chats. We will add other platforms, such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, to this list before we use them.
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Google Cloud and Firebase | Hosting, database, files and sign-in | Netherlands (EU); sign-in worldwide |
| Google Gemini API | AI answers, search, voice and media | Worldwide, including the US |
| Google Workspace APIs | Knowledge folders in Google Drive, Office file conversion | Worldwide, including the US |
| Anthropic and xAI, through Google Cloud | Claude and Grok, when an expert agent uses them | EU or worldwide |
| OpenAlex | Science scan: searching research papers | US |
| Exa | Expert web search and data sources | US |
| Particle (Radar) | Podcast search and transcripts | US |
| Supadata | Transcripts of online video and social posts | EU (Germany) |

Where data leaves the UK, we rely on our providers’ UK transfer safeguards: the UK–US data bridge, or the UK transfer agreement or addendum in their terms.
Who sees your content
Your chats and files are private to you. A share link shows a read-only copy of a chat to anyone with the link, and its password if you set one. You can stop sharing at any time.
Your organisation’s administrators manage members and see usage. They cannot read your chats.
Our staff look at content only to give support you ask for, fix a fault, deal with a security issue or meet a legal duty.
How long we keep it
- Chats, files and experts you create: until you delete them. Deleting a chat also asks Google to delete its copy. When an account closes, we delete its content within 90 days.
- Account and usage records: while the account is open, then up to 90 days.
- Accounting records: six years.
- Enquiries: up to two years.
- Public page counts: up to one year.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies. One keeps you signed in, for 14 days. One remembers a share link’s password, for 30 days. On the public pages, one holds a random browser ID, for one year, and two may hold test answers, for 30 days.
Your browser also stores your email while a sign-in link is on its way, and a few display choices. These stay on your device.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your personal data, or object to or limit how we use it. This includes people an expert agent was asked about. Email hello@synthsight.com. We reply within one month. If your organisation controls the data, we pass your request to it.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in is by an emailed link. Every request is checked against your organisation’s Synthspace. Only named staff can reach production systems.
