Terms of Service

Synthsight is provided by Synthsight Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 15405603, at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

These terms cover this website and the Synthsight service. “You” means the organisation that buys Synthsight. People it invites are its users, and they must follow these terms too.

Your agreement is with Synthsight Limited, even when a partner such as Brand Genetics introduced us. It is these terms plus your order. A signed client agreement overrides both, then your order overrides these terms.

We build and run custom expert agents for your team. An expert agent is an AI agent with expert knowledge and cognitive skills. A cognitive skill is a multi-step reasoning process that a leading expert follows. Your order sets your expert agents, their cognitive skills, your users and your usage allowance.

Your users reach their expert agents in the Synthsight app, and on other platforms where your order says so.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We may improve it and change features. If a change materially reduces what you pay for, we give 30 days’ notice and you may cancel with a refund of unused prepaid fees.

Users must be 18 or over and use a work email. Keep access to that email secure, and tell us at once if you suspect misuse. Your administrators manage your users and are responsible for them.

Your order sets three kinds of fee, plus VAT:

• Build fee: for building your expert agent, payable in full when you commission it.
• Running fee: for running your expert agent and its users, billed quarterly in advance.
• New cognitive skills: each one you ask for, priced in its own order.

We give 30 days’ notice of a price rise. If an invoice is unpaid, we may suspend access after 14 days’ written notice.

Your order starts a minimum term of 12 months. After that it renews quarterly until either side ends it with 30 days’ notice before the next quarter. The build fee is not refundable once the build has started.

Expert agents give an AI view, not a statement from a real expert or person. When an expert agent predicts how someone is likely to respond, that is an estimate.

AI can be wrong, incomplete or biased. Check what matters before you act. You make your decisions. Synthsight does not give therapy or medical, legal or financial advice.

Do not use Synthsight to:

• break the law or anyone’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property;
• harass, deceive or harm people, or make unlawful or discriminatory decisions about them;
• make decisions about a person’s job, credit, insurance or access to services;
• pass off an expert agent’s words as a real person’s statement;
• get round our security, reach other users’ data or copy our system;
• breach Google’s Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy.

We may suspend access to stop serious misuse. Where we can, we tell you first.

You own your expert. Everything we make only for you is yours: your expert agent’s instructions, the cognitive skills and knowledge we build for it, what you put in, and everything it makes for you. When the agreement ends, we hand these to you in an open format.

We own the engine. Synthsight’s software, cognitive engine, methods, reusable cognitive skills and brand stay ours. While the agreement lasts, your users may use them for your business.

We host and process your content only to run, secure and support the service. We do not use it to train AI. AI outputs may resemble outputs made for others and may not be protected by copyright.

You must have the right to use any personal data you provide, and tell people what the law requires. Do not provide data on health, ethnicity, religion, politics, trade union membership, sex life or sexual orientation, genetic or biometric data, or criminal records, or ask an expert agent to infer it, unless we agree in writing.

Each side keeps the other’s confidential information private and uses it only for this agreement. We treat your content as confidential.

Nothing limits liability for death or injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.

Otherwise, each side’s total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees paid or payable in that period. Neither side is liable for indirect loss, or for lost profit, revenue or savings.

Either side may end the agreement if the other commits a material breach and does not fix it within 14 days of notice. If we close the service, we give 30 days’ notice and refund unused prepaid fees.

When the agreement ends, access stops. For 30 days you may ask for your expert (section 8) and an export of your content. We then delete it as set out in section 14.

We give 30 days’ notice of material changes to these terms, and you may cancel before they apply. The laws of England and Wales govern this agreement, and its courts decide disputes. Contact and notices: hello@synthsight.com.

When we process personal data in your content, you are the controller and we are your processor under the UK GDPR. We will:

• process it only on your instructions, which are this agreement and your use of the service, and tell you if an instruction seems unlawful;
• keep it confidential, and protect it as described in our Privacy Policy;
• use only the providers listed in our Privacy Policy, give you 30 days’ notice of a new one so you can object, and hold each to the same duties;
• move it outside the UK only with a lawful safeguard;
• help you answer people’s requests, handle breaches and complete impact assessments;
• tell you without undue delay about a personal data breach;
• at the end, return or delete it: from live systems within 90 days and from backups within a further 30 days;
• give you the information you need to check we comply, and allow reasonable audits.

The data covers your users and the people your content is about, including people your users ask an expert agent about. It is processed for as long as the agreement lasts, to provide Synthsight.
